The news floated down the hall from the TV room: one in four fetuses are aborted in New Zealand.

Is on-demand abortion legal in NZ? I understand that in my state there are more terminations than births, and as far as we can figure out, abortion is only legal for medical reasons. Odd (and when I say odd, I also mean dreadful).

  2. dan says:

Abortion is only legal in NZ for medical reasons. However, a baby is readily aborted where ‘the mental health of the mother is at risk’.
This reason is used to the fullness of its looseness.

this statistic in NZ and similar statistics in other ‘western civilised’ countries is a huge indicment upon them. We spend millions and million in NZ to reduce the road toal (sitting around 400 per year) while little money (if any) goes into saving the 12,000+ human lives murdered every year.

  4. arrrrgh. And to think that Holmes boldly boasted a ‘news’ story of a man who turned 100 that day. They showed all his offspring, starting with four kids, blossoming out to about 20 grandkids, blossoming out to about heaps of greatgrandkids and two greatgreatgrandkids. Imagine if that dude had been aborted… none of those people would have ever existed. Sniff.
