Pink, pink, pink, pink
Today I bought Nick Drake’s 1972 album Pink Moon and I really like it. It’s my first inedible treat for months and months. My next three planned treats: a fishing rod, a laptop and an mp3 player.
Lately spending one third of every day sleeping seems like a waste. Every night I fall asleep impatient for morning. I really like being a freelance web developer. I really love learning the book publishing ropes.
Kora are playing at 4.30pm tomorrw at the Cuba St Carnival. And the rest is all shite apart from that. Actually it’s probably mostly grand, I don’t know half the bands listed, I just wanted to say ‘shite.’

I didn’t like that album at all.
True! Perhaps it will fade for me too.
No i am sure it will grow and grow on you, as it is a magnificient album. Amazing to think that he recorded it over two nights with only one sound engineer and only overdubbing one track, the first track, with piano. And then he dropped it off at the record company and had nothing more to do with it. Its my favourite of his three original albums.
That is a nice story.
I admit I only listened to it once, but its same-soundingness approached monotony, and I gave it back. I am selfish; the stories he told weren’t mine, I didn’t think.
what about the morris dancers?! they couldn’t be lumped under the label “shite” surely?
They were awesome. Also the parade was pretty neat.
Love that album… here via Brandon’s blog… interesting reading indeed (drunk 12 year olds? Yikes. We waited until 13.)
