One of my colleagues forwarded me that link and I just watched it. At work.
I now own a pair of stubbies. Ange brought me a pair from sally army shop. They are yuk brown with an orange edge. they are horribly beautiful.
I’m proud of you, Dave. However I just wish to clarify one thing; the term ‘stubbies’ is generally used to refer to rugby shorts in particular, not just any shorts that are shorter than today’s acceptable length. I don’t want to see the term ‘stubbies’ bandied around with gay abandon.
I would make a correction there Tim. The term ‘stubbies’ in the context I was making it was in reference to the true and original ‘stubbies’ that the ad clearly talks about. You and your generalisations…
David is correct about “stubbies”. David appears to lack the large paunch that made “stubbies” such a monumental fashion hideosity, he would probably look OK in them, colour not withstanding.
I believe the meaning of the term has changed. And I’m a teacher which means I’m always right. No argument.
