Why not save yourself a lot of time and ‘record what you hear’ from soundcard? (Files to download: Audio editor/recorder. Equipment needed: Your dumb(alternatively, awesome) computer)
Cos that would have taken one hour rather than twelve minutes and I would have had to turn off Outlook to avoid getting miscellaneous beeps included. Plus I learned a new skillz.
You have outlook sounds on? Eep.
I dunno how much audio one would want to extract from a dvd though.
re time lapse text: Plant trees. Not boring pines as a cynical crop in twenty years time, plant natives, plant beautiful exotics, oaks, walnuts, hazelnuts, chestnuts, flowering cherries, apples, pears, citrus, olives, Kauri, Totara, Miro, Matai, Kahikatea etc.
I THINK that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth’s flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
List & lyric are lovely.
This cynical crop business. It makes up a portion of my inheritance.
Its weird to know my family owns a few forests.
