Designers in the irony mines
I went to church today twice and emerged unscathed. My beautiful sister Katherine made lunch for me and gave me issue #37 of Adbusters. Of course at first i thought too trendy too postmodern too earnest too imporant. But I should have had beginner’s mind. I had a bath and read it. I was in love by the end of the letters page. Someone mentioned Neil Postman. Now i find that not the hearers of the law are just, but the doers thereof.
Postcript: Neil Postman died last week *

There really is something to be said for knowing why you’re laughing.
who’s laughing?
I was just reading the Neil Postman article, and was thinking about all the times I laugh at just crap.
I hate adbusters with a vengance. I laughed, but with a scornful, ‘very much mocking attitude’ kind of laugh
