It looks like Eddie is actually smiling at Simon in that photo. According to Simon, the actual look Eddie gave him was more one of surprise and apprehension, like Simon was some homeless person who was going to ask him for some spare change.
Oh yeh, this photo was taken just before simon started putting his hands in eddie’s pockets and screaming, “im homeless, give me all your spare cash!”
