I’m onto Year Four of no caffiene. I know why wars start ;)
As Cam & I were driving back from a peaceful wknd in Wangas ystrday (seriously – we’d managed to avoid any hint of gang warfare), we caught an amazing broadcast which I have hunted down on the interweb because I think tis right up your alley:
Thanks Bel. Forgive me, I was already aware of this year’s Reith lectures. I heard the first one. Sachs is great. On a mission. But I’m ill at home today so I’ll have a bath and listen to the others there, why not?
Did you notice many changes in yourself as a result of giving up caffeine?
Yep – definitely went through withdrawls that I wasn’t expecting.
Me, an addict?! Nooo. Surely not.
Main change for me was much less chance of having a seizure – so few people are aware that caffiene’s really bad for epileptics, including myself, who been diagnosed two or three years earlier!
Now finding other mid-afternoon stimulants is the main thing. I can recommend peppermint tea & also belgium biscuits from Arobake.
hey bel you may find having a litre of water will perk you up mid afternoon…it’s not very exciting but rather good for you and seems to wake the brain up. x
hi bel.
more to the point tho, hi matt, thank you for organising a good party, sorry i had to leave so early. And thank you for beng a cool older brother for seven thousand or so days.
