Reference please Dennis. I think you’ve pointed this out before. Do you mean the Church Street bombings or something else?
Mandela has explicitly denied that he is a pacifist, and since setting up the ‘terrorist’ MK wing of the ANC was largely his idea, what exactly is your point? That he’s not really a “good guy”???
Do any of the Kiwisaver investment providers have a charity scheme? Seems like an easy way to raise a million for the starving gay nuns in Maydupistan would be to have a “donate 0.1% of my Kiwisaver investments to a suitable charity” checkbox for me to tick. [This would only work if more than one person checked the box, or I was earning 10^6 * 10^3 / 4% = $25,000,000,000.]
When I filled out my kiwisaver forms there wasn’t a charity tickbox that you could select. I would presume that would be across the board for whatever provider you went with.
But then you are old enough to find a seperate form for a charity group for you to donate money too. Arn’t you?
Interesting to note that the SuperFund that NZ has (the one that Cullen put in place) is well known to have parts of it invested in arms companies and other ‘non-ethical’ investment options.

We should also be able to put the money towards student loan repayments like we can with mortgages.
Yeah, good ideas RDB and Tim. And I reckon the scheme’s name to something like KiwiDonator, KiwiMortgagor, or KiwiStudentLoanRepayer.
