10 propositions on political theology [via CD]
thoughts on schism for Reformation Day

One response to “1000s of kms from home and still reading theology”

  1. Fascinating blog thingie on schisms.
I didn’t used to think most of that.
    But now I do.
And now that I do, I see people who see their schismaticness as a sign of purity – of not touching the unclean doctrine and rendering thyself unclean.
Or that it’s like some sort of ‘schismatic selection’, resulting in the evolution of doctrine, such that at some point in the future, all the ‘wrong’ doctrine will be pared away and the pure undefiled kernel of truth remains.

But maybe I’m reading more into it than there actually is.
