isn’t capitalism Christian then ?
It probably depends what you mean by capitalism. It isn’t Christian to abstract the concept of ownership so far that good stewardship is impossible. Or to narrow the concept of stewardship to cover only short-term profitability.
I’m not sure there is anything inherrantly Christian about capitalism. I think it’s something that can be supported by Christianity if used in the correct way. But like all philosophies people make up, it has weaknesses. Like Matt says, it tends to enhance people’s tendency to only care about short term.
That ain’t Christian.
