Well, yeah. My concise oxford confirms that irascible means ‘irritable, hot-tempered’. Doesn’t really ring true. Irascible makes me think of a fat, red-faced old man in a constant state of grumpiness who flares up at the drop of a hat.
‘Angry’ or ‘Indignant’ it would fit better, I think.
I hope he means ‘elusive’ where he says ‘illusive’. Does he?
Also, not sure I’m comfortable with Jesus being labelled ‘irascible’.

It’s God who is labelled irascible, not Jesus as such. Are you uncomfortable with God being so labelled?
