On Saturday I did $300 worth of damage to my flatmate’s trumpet in the space of four seconds. Yesterday the guy whose van I rolled called me up “I’ve found a replacement, can I have $1,200 please”. I ate fresh salmon sushi for the first time today. Exciting times.

yes, pics of the van? and the trumpet? how did you damage a trumpet? did you blow too hard?
I sat down on the floor, careful to avoid a guitar amp which seemed a bit fragile. A sheet on a mattress that was dampening the drumkit extended down to where I sat. Me sitting on the sheet pulled the mattress forward which knocked into the trumpet on it’s stand which tipped foward into a glass door, and pushed the trumpet’s mouthpiece too hard, which made it seize up and made a small crack in the tubing.
