    language is oppressive and annoying. or it can so be used to oppress and annoy. language-based social stereotyping, claims to authority/superiority that’s rooted in a particular worldview/epistemology and can’t truly be “objective”, people not seeing that and using it to measure the “worth” of other people. i know i’ve done it.
    writing a critique of patriarchal discourse in the language of patriarchal discourse is major problem for me at university.
